Here’s your simple, step-by-step guide to hiring confidently on Hazlo Pros. Whether you’re upgrading a kitchen or fixing a fence, these tips will help you get great results with peace of mind.

Before reaching out to anyone, jot down exactly what you need done. The clearer you are, the better the quotes you'll receive. Include things like:

• The type of work
• Materials needed (or already on hand)
• Your location (e.g., Kennewick, Pasco, Richland)
• Your ideal start date or deadline

The more detail you give, the easier it is for a pro to understand and respond accurately.

Take a moment to browse the Services page and see which category fits your project. Then, Project's tab — it’s free, fast, and sends your request to multiple verified local pros across Tri-Cities. You’ll be able to compare responses and choose who fits best.

3. 🧰 Review Credentials & Experience

When you start hearing back from pros (or find them via search), dive into their profiles. Look for:

• A complete bio and photos of past work
• Verified badges for licensing and insurance
• Mention of years of experience or specialties

Hazlo Pros screens pros carefully, but you’re always welcome to ask for additional proof, references, or examples of similar projects in your area.

4. 🌟 Read Reviews & Ratings

Real reviews make a real difference. Browse feedback from past customers right on the pro’s profile. Pay attention to comments on:

• Punctuality
• Work quality
• Communication

A slightly higher bid might be worth it if a pro has stellar reviews in Pasco or Richland. That’s your signal they’re reliable and worth trusting.

5. 💬 Get Multiple Quotes

Don’t settle too quickly — aim for at least 2–3 quotes. Hazlo Pros makes this easy by notifying multiple pros of your post.
Compare apples to apples: Ensure all quotes cover the same scope. Be cautious of quotes that seem too low — it might mean shortcuts or surprise fees later. Don’t be afraid to ask questions – better safe than sorry.
